Location of the PS ,,Zletovica,, The Republic of Macedonia is small European country which is situated in the southern part of the Balcan Peninsula. As geographical part, Macedonia has clean and healthy ecological environment, with continental climate in its northern part and Mediterranean in the southern part.
Macedonia is rich with economical potentials and developed economical structure, modern communication system, but also natural beauties, valuable archeological localities, monasteries and churches with unique icons. Macedonia is a country with rich ancient culture, but also has world achievement in the field of modern art and culture, which make this small and beautiful country - ,,The pearl of the Balcan,,.
The Hydro system ,,Zletovica,, is situated in the north-eastern part of the Republic of Macedonia and covers the area of 223.000 ha. The middle part of this zone is mainly covered with small mountains and wide river valley. The northern part of the area is near the Osogovo mountain, while in the southern part mainly the valleys are situated. This area has continental climate with mixtures of Mediterranean climate. It is characterized with dry and long summers, with high temperatures and short and mild winters. The overage annual rainfalls in the region are 500mm. This region covers more than 100.000 inhabitants in the municipalities Kratovo, Probistip, Sveti Nikole, Lozovo, Stip and Karbinci. The main activity of the inhabitants in the region is agriculture, cattle breeding, mining and industrial production.
