Technical characteristics of the Hydro system ,,Zletovica

The multipurpose technical solution of the hydro system ,,Zletovica,, is as follows:

  • Dam ,,Knezevo,, and accumulation

  • Intake from Kuceska river

  • Intakes from Emiricka and Vinecka rivers

  • Intakes for water supply of Kratovo, Probistip, Stip, Sveti Nikole, Karbinci and Lozozvo

  • Intakes and other network lines including equipment for the irrigation of 3 100 ha and

  • Intake Network, pipelines and other objects for the energetic facilities: HEC ,,Zletovica I,, , HEC ,,Zletovica II,, and HEC ,,Zletovica III,,.

The dam ,,Knezevo,, is planed to be build near the Knezevo village at about 19,5km from Zletovo. Basic characteristics of the dam are :

  • Dam type: Zone type rock fill with asphalt core

  • Dam height: 75m

  • Crest length: 270 m

  • Crest width : 10 m

  • Dam embankment volume: 1.700.000 m³

  • Effective storage capacity : 22.500.000 m³

  • Overflowing body: 216 m³/s

  • Bottom outlet: 21 m³/s.

The irrigation is divided in two zones:

  Lower zone Upper zone
Area to be irrigated : 2050 ha 1050 ha
Installed flow : 2,5 m³/s 1.775 m³/s
The length of the pipeline: 13.470 m 14.617 m
Iron pipelines D: 1320-457 mm 1120-355 mm
Network pipeline D: 914-225 mm 508- 225 mm
Total length of the network: 16.700 m 16.738 m

Hydrological potential of the Zletovica river is planned to be used by the three hydro plants , with the following technical characteristics.
