THE IDEA
The
initial initiatives for the construction of the regional
Hydro system ,,Zletovica,, appeared in the second half of the fifty years of
the twentieth century, but the concrete activities for the realization of
the idea were made during the year of 1982.
PURPOSE
The hydro
system ,,Zletovica,, is located in the north-east part of the Republic of
Macedonia. The hydro system is multipurpose and can meet the following basic
needs:
- water supply for the inhabitants and water for the industry in the
Municipalities of Kratovo, Probistip, Stip, Karbinci, Sveti Nikole and
Lozovo;
-
irrigation of 3 100 ha of agricultural area;
pro - production of the electrical energy;
mai - maintaining the biological minimum of the Zletovica river;
de - decreasing the
possibility of floods and
- keeping the outflow in the acumulation space.
THE
FUNCTUALITY OF THE PROJECT

Location
of Zletovska River, where the dam "Knezevo" is going to
be build as a part of hydro-system "Zletovica"

Massive
investigation was performed and it has clarified that the annual potential
of Zletovska river is 69 mil.m3.The dam "Knezevo" and the other
smaller systems are going to use approximately 50mil.m3 water from the
annual flow, and the rest 19mil.m3water from the annual flow remains to
support the biological minimum of Zletovska river, further in her flow,
until it flows into the river Bregalnica.
